The Vitality Model

Good care requires time, continuity, and room to adjust.

Vitality is built around an ongoing relationship with your care team rather than a one-time visit or a standardized treatment protocol.

We take the time to understand your history, symptoms, goals, previous treatment, and what has changed. From there, we develop a plan, follow your response, review relevant laboratory data, and adjust treatment when it makes sense to do so.

How care works

Four parts, one relationship.

1

Start with a full initial consultation.

Your first visit is a full initial consultation, with up to one hour set aside for your clinician to understand the whole picture.

We review your medical history, current symptoms and concerns, medications and supplements, previous treatments, relevant family history, and what you hope to improve.

The purpose of the initial visit is not to move everyone toward the same treatment. It is to understand what you are experiencing, identify what deserves further evaluation, and decide together what the next steps should be.

2

Testing should answer a clinical question.

Laboratory testing may be part of your evaluation or ongoing care when it helps us understand what may be contributing to your symptoms, establish appropriate baseline information, or monitor a specific treatment.

Which tests are appropriate depends on why you are seeking care, your medical history, existing results, and the treatments being considered.

We do not believe more testing automatically means better care. Testing should have a reason, and the results should be interpreted in the context of the rest of your health.

3

Build a treatment plan that makes sense for you.

Once we understand the clinical picture, we discuss the treatment options that are relevant to your situation.

That conversation includes what a treatment is reasonably expected to help, potential risks and benefits, available alternatives, and any areas where the evidence is limited or still evolving.

Your preferences matter. So do your medical history, individual risks, previous response to treatment, practical considerations, and goals.

The result should be a treatment plan you understand and a clear reason for why each part of it is there.

4

Ongoing care is part of the model.

Treatment rarely ends with the first prescription.

Ongoing care allows your clinician to follow what has changed, what has helped, what has not, and whether the original plan still makes sense. Follow-up may include reviewing your clinical response and relevant laboratory results, answering questions between visits, managing prescriptions, and adjusting treatment when clinically appropriate.

Symptoms change. Health conditions change. Goals change. A medication may work differently than expected, or something that was useful six months ago may no longer be necessary.

Sometimes good follow-up means adjusting a dose or changing a medication. Sometimes it means adding something. Sometimes it means stopping something that is no longer helping.

The point is not to keep treatment the same. It is to keep asking whether the treatment still makes sense for you.

Free discovery call

Not sure whether Vitality is right for you?

A free discovery call is a brief conversation, lasting up to 15 minutes, to help you decide whether Vitality's services and model of care are a good fit for what you're looking for.

You can ask general questions about the practice, our services, pricing, and what to expect before deciding whether to schedule an initial consultation.

The discovery call is not a medical visit and does not include individualized medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, medication management, or review of laboratory results.

Common questions

The model, answered.

Do you accept insurance?

Vitality is a membership-based practice and does not bill insurance for your care. This allows us to structure visits, follow-up, and ongoing access around the care model rather than insurance billing requirements.

Laboratory testing, medications, imaging, referrals, and other outside services may have separate costs depending on the service and how you choose to pay for them.

When does the monthly membership begin?

If you decide to continue care with Vitality after your initial consultation, the ongoing membership begins after that initial visit.

Can I receive care by telehealth?

Vitality provides both in-person and telehealth care where permitted. In-person visits are in Spokane, and telehealth is available in Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Utah. Availability depends on your location and the type of care you need.

What if I am not sure which service I need?

You do not need to diagnose yourself before scheduling. Your clinician can help determine which concerns may be related, what deserves further evaluation, and which treatment options are relevant.

If you are not sure whether Vitality offers the type of care you are looking for, a free discovery call is a good place to start.
